YOUR CHALLENGE

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

Working closely with the local General Manager, and Regional HR Function, this role will be focused on supporting and leading HR activities in the local organization in Korea. You will be responsible for the end-to-end employee life-cycle, including; recruitment, employee engagement, setting up structures and workflows, payroll, people management and general office administration. You will partner closely with the local organisation Management team to facilitate and support HR and people initiatives, activities, and projects. We want you to come in and take ownership of the HR area. This role requires taking initiative and working independently as well as being a strong team player and positive contributor to the DW culture. The Reporting line is to the General Manager Korea, and will be part of a broad regional and global team.

 Your main tasks are: 

• Handle overall talent acquisition and recruitment processes 

• Facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process 

• Proceed and manage local, global HR projects. 

• Coordinate and oversee the administration of compensation, benefit plans and leave • Provide support to employees and managers on various HR-related topics 

• Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form 

• Ensure compliance with labor regulations 

• Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures 

• Arrange monthly, quarterly, and annual events based on business’ needs (such as social and team building initiatives) 

• Support operational and administration needs of the Office 

WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU’RE GREAT AT 

We see that you know how things work in a global company and have bright and exciting ideas and thoughts on how HR will change in the coming years. We want you to have experience of, and love, to build things from scratch. 

We see that you must have: 

• Minimum 5 year to 10 year work experience in a broad/generalist HR role 

• Experience in recruitment and people management

 • Experience in end-to-end Employee Lifecycle 

• Local Payroll knowledge and experience 

• A curiosity about people and what makes them tick 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

• Proficient in Korean and English 

• Good knowledge of labor laws, employment, and workplace regulations 

• Experience in delivering and executing project plans 

• Strong team player and know how to have fun! Preferred 

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields 

• Analytical mind with problem solving attitude 

• Experience from retail and/ or fast-moving growth companies 

• Big interest in the next generation HR
