As DW is evolving and aiming to become a world-leading accessory brand we see our Online business as a key factor in achieving just that. We are digital natives and see huge opportunities in the future in being pioneers in our field. For us to seize the opportunities the role as Global Head of Online Business now opens up, and it will play a pivotal part in defining, evangelizing, and realizing a seductive strategy and customer proposition for our global eCom revenue channel.  

The utopian candidate is an innovative creator, data-driven analyst, obsessive customer champion, and passionate leader that wants to grow the DW online business in a holistic way. You will need the right balance of vision, operational excellence, and the understanding of collective intelligence and collaboration in a global company to succeed. An important part of your role will be to roll out the online business strategy you and your team will develop. You will pave the way in how to best utilize new sales opportunities, optimizing the current sales funnel, and creating synergies across different sales channels. You will lead a distributed online team on a day-to-day basis, with a global team in Stockholm consisting of direct reporting roles; Global Online Content Manager, E-commerce & Marketplace Manager Europe, and Global Web Analyst. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO 

  • Together with a globally outspread team, you will be responsible for curating world-class e-commerce in the online channels of our customer’s choosing 
  • Streamlining ways of working within the Online Business  
  • Be a global channel owner of Daniel Wellington’s online sales channels including both own web and marketplaces 
  • Evolving the vision and strategy for our e-commerce experience, identifying opportunities that will generate exceptional customer experiences and drive profitable growth 
  • Set and fulfill commercial plans and strategies with associated KPI’s 
  • Partner with the data team to define measurable metrics of success for the e-commerce product management team, and drive accountability through KPI’s 
  • Partner with Customer Experience and UX Research to understand our customers and their needs to create personas, prototype products, and test ideas with existing and new customers 
  • Creating and executing business development initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders, such as; offline retail, marketing, logistics, customer service, and IT 
  • Working in close collaboration with online marketing for traffic acquisition, e-mail marketing, and other revenue and customer engagement driving initiatives 
  • Working closely with people across the business and externally, to ensure appropriate performance and progress against future growth 
  • Ensuring that the digital environment aligns with the Online Business customer proposition and performs optimally with user experiences on a par with or, hopefully, exceeding industry-leading digital experiences!  

WHO YOU ARE 

You are hopefully recognized as a subject matter expert in the eCom domain with a deep understanding of best practices, relevant business models, and how to succeed with online business in the year 2021.

  • That means we need someone seasoned – from 5 years of experience working with e-commerce, marketplaces, and e-tailers, on a global strategic level 
  • A passionate and experienced commercial leader with a proven track record in successfully scaling global eCom businesses, achieving effective P&L management, and delivering impressive results 
  • Preferably marketplace experience, ideally from industry-leaders 
  • Strong business acumen and tech-savviness, especially in eCom technology, i.e., product information tools, fraud management solutions, analytics 
  • You love to learn, have a growth mindset, and understand how to get the best out of the people around you 
  • Have modern ways of working and regard yourself as a modern leader, not a “boss” 
  • Solid analytical ability and love to leverage data and insights to take meaningful actions and realizing growth opportunities 
  • Visionary innovator and creative problem-solver with a good compass to focus on the right things at the right time 
  • Strong communicator with the ability to customize messaging to reach different audiences and natural ability to mobilize others around the big picture.  
  • Enjoy working with a helicopter perspective; where you can zoom out on strategy, and dive into the tactical stuff when needed 
  • Savvy negotiator and experienced in navigating legal agreements and working with external parties 
  • 100% comfortable in English, spoken, and written - other languages are a plus
