We are looking for a Legal Counsel for our office in Stockholm that is passionate about supporting and making a difference in the business. This is a temporary parental cover role for 9 months initially, starting in June, where we offer you great opportunities to work with an experienced team of lawyers as well as support Daniel Wellington’s global business. The team aims at being the best partner possible to the business, by providing (i) world-class legal advice, (ii) global and cross-functional experience (legal and beyond), and (iii) support in allocating and managing legal risk in a business-oriented and innovative manner.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be part of the legal team at the Stockholm office, supporting the business globally. Support will cover all typical practice areas for a retail business, such as distribution, wholesale, commercial leases, e-com and online sales, marketing, employment, product compliance, and also includes compliance work in matters connected to privacy, AML, CSR, etc. The team in Stockholm currently consists of two legal counsels and one part-time assistant, and you will report to our Group General Counsel located in Hong Kong.
WHO YOU ARE
- Master of Laws degree (or equivalent) and no less than 3 years experience of qualified legal commercial work at a law firm or as an in-house counsel
- Broad experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Fluent in Swedish and English and strong communication skills in writing and in verbal communication
- Ability to work and solve problems in a structured manner and manage projects independently and as part of a team
- A quick and flexible learner; curious, open-minded, adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by dynamic change
- Experience in the following areas is a plus:
Consumer product or service business
Data privacy
Working in a global environment, in particular having worked with cross-border entities
